In the gloomy veil of Halloween night, a group of friends - the fearless Emmett, the jovial Freddy, the intuitive Marie, the protective Kevin, and his hesitant girlfriend Jessie - venture into the haunting echoes of an abandoned hospital. Meanwhile, young Allan, driven by a desperate quest, seeks the aid of his father's old acquaintance, Arlo Ray Baines, to unravel the mystery of his sister Meg's sudden disappearance, her last known location being the very same forsaken hospital. Their paths intersect in the chilling confines of the mental institution section, specifically the cursed third floor. A chilling realization dawns upon them: they are ensnared within these spectral walls, their fates entangled with the hospital’s ghastly past. Jessie, through flashes of terrifying visions, uncovers the tormented ghost of Jacob, a former patient with a horrifying history of child abuse and arson, attempting to break free by possessing their bodies. As their physical forms begin to meld with this malevolent spirit, they must fight for survival while unearthing the dark secrets that the hospital holds.
