When her family moves to the suburbs, a glum young girl named Chihiro Ogino stumbles upon a hidden world full of spirits and where ordinary people are transformed into beasts. When her parents succumb to the strange powers of the spirits, Chihiro must remain calm and somehow find the strength and courage to help rescue her parents from their gluttonous prison.
