The Frighteners (1996)

The death of Frank Bannister's life left him traumatized, unable to cope with modern life, and able to communicate with the dead. He's since been using the power to scrape by as a con-man, but his conscience gets the best of him when he begins to see numbers on the foreheads of people that no one else can see. When those people start turning up dead, he realizes some sort of spectral serial killer is to blame. He'll need to take his unique gifts as a spiritual medium seriously, and he'll need to prepare himself for the possibility that this string of murders is tied to the death of his own wife years ago.
