Once a rock and roll superstar, Mikey Taylor has been reduced to a middle-aged music composer, ensnared in the dazzling allure of a young vocalist, Matty McPherson, hungry for the limelight. Once the charismatic lead singer of the famed rock band, THE SAINTS, Mikey lived life on the edge, a whirlwind of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. His salvation came in the form of Joyce, a real estate broker and now his wife of a decade, who pulled him back from the brink with unwavering support. The crash of the real estate market forces Mikey back to his former life, crafting songs for a new record album alongside his old partners, Stanley and Dickie. In the studio, he encounters Matty, their new demo singer, a vision of youth, beauty and raw talent. A spark ignites between them, reminiscent of Mikey's wild rockstar days, with Matty luring him back into a world he had left behind. Despite convincing himself that the affair will fade once the album is finished, Mikey finds himself increasingly dependent on Matty, his muse and enabler, steering him back to the path of self-destruction. The allure of alcohol, drugs, and a turbulent sex life returns, with Matty claiming herself as his new addiction, convincing him of his inability to succeed without her. Plagued by guilt and struggling to extricate himself from Matty’s hold, he finds himself drawn deeper into her world with every new song she composes. Celebrations ensue, marked by more intoxication, drugs, and erotic encounters, pulling him closer to Matty's darkness and further from Joyce's light. Despite his friends' pleas to involve the police, the law sides with Matty, who skilfully manipulates the situation by claiming she carries Mikey's child. Her retaliation is swift and brutal – she abducts Joyce, forcing Mikey into a chilling ultimatum: rescue Joyce or surrender to her. Faced with this dire choice, will Mikey be able to liberate Joyce from Matty's sinister grip, or will he succumb to the addiction that once held him captive, embodied now in the beguiling Matty?
