American Jack Ryan drops out of his studies at the London School of Economics to enlist as a Marine. When he's injured in a firefight, he's secretly recruited by the CIA to work as an undercover financial analyst. Ryan uncovers a Russian plot to move massive sums of money and undermine the American economy. He's supposed to be a mild-mannered paper-pusher, but when the Russians respond to Ryan's audit request with violence, Ryan is forced to rely on his combat training to survive.
