Plot

Once a celebrated hockey player, Kristian Keskitalo now finds himself a nonentity, his fame dissipated into the ether. His life takes a chilling turn when his comrade, Alex, mysteriously goes missing after an evening of camaraderie. Kristian's behavior spirals downward, his actions becoming a maelstrom of irrationality and aggression. He entangles himself with the local youth, orchestrates precarious deals, and confronts perceived adversaries, all while in the throes of anxiety over Alex's sudden disappearance. When Alex's life is abruptly extinguished, Kristian finds an unusual ally in the bereaved father, Berndt, a bond born out of collective sorrow. Simultaneously, he finds himself yearning for a deeper connection with Diana, Alex's grieving widow. He harbors a secret belief that he is the biological father of Elias, their child. Assimilating Alex's life becomes an almost natural progression for him, a twisted form of homage. However, Kristian is a master of deception, a tapestry of lies woven into the fabric of his existence. His every move is under the watchful eyes of the law enforcement and Berndt, both closing in on him like a noose. As pressure mounts, Kristian teeters on the precipice of a psychological meltdown. His journey is a haunting exploration of guilt, obsession, and the lengths one will go to fill the void left by a lost friendship.
