Are You Here (2013)

In the heart of a superficial, fast-paced world, we meet Ben Baker and Steve Dallas, childhood compatriots bound by their shared past and divergent paths. Ben, a man-child rooted in his whimsical world, finds refuge on Steve's couch, indulging in a carefree lifestyle. On the other hand, Steve, a moderately successful weatherman, navigates his life through a veneer of charm, living a life as fickle as the weather he reports. Ben's world is upended with the news of his distant father's death, thrusting him on a journey back to his hometown with Steve at the wheel. They cross paths with Ben's ambitious sister Terri, a polar opposite to Ben's free spirit, and Angela, their father's flower child widow who shares their age, stirring a cauldron of unexpected emotions and revelations. The aftermath of the will reading sparks a flame within Ben, igniting his search for a new purpose in life. However, the world around him is less than supportive, prompting them all to re-evaluate their own lives.
