This look at the life of a boy from the age of 6 to 18 was filmed with the same actor over a 12-year period and tells the story of Mason's coming of age. His divorced parents meet new partners, Mason acquires and loses step-siblings, and he develops artistic talents as he grows up and learns about himself.
