Plot
In the bustling heart of the city, a petty thief on a bicycle snatches a purse, drawing the attention of Sang-hwan, a bumbling but earnest rookie policeman. His pursuit ends in a painful crash, not by his own hands but by the deft intervention of martial arts expert, Wi-jin. After the encounter, Sang-hwan finds himself in Wi-jin's home, tended to by five Tao Masters. They recognise within him a potent c'hi, the spiritual energy that underscores the universe, marking him as a potential warrior of immense power.
As Sang-hwan embarks on his journey to rise to the esteemed ranks of a Maruchi, the male Tao Master, an ancient evil stirs. The sinister Heuk-woon, inadvertently freed from his centuries-old confines, awakens with insatiable ambition. This malevolent force sets his sights on a key guarded by the Tao Masters, a key that would allow him to ascend to Arahan status and bend the world to his will.
When the Masters succumb to Heuk-woon's overwhelming power, it falls to Sang-hwan and Wi-jin to stand against this looming threat. With the fate of humanity hanging in the balance, they become mankind's last hope. As Sang-hwan's training intensifies, the battle between good and evil looms closer, setting the stage for a clash that could echo through the ages.
