Plot

In the dead of night, in an unremarkable Los Angeles convenience store, we meet Nick (Aaron Eckhart), a small-time drug dealer tangled in the throes of indecision over a simple choice of coffee brand. His ex-lover, the deadly Dallas (Paulina Porizkova), and his equally menacing associate, Billy Hill (James LeGros), are growing impatient. A conflict with the unsuspecting cashier (Luck Hari) escalates beyond control, leading to a fatal shot fired by Dallas. When a police officer (Bari K. Willerford) stumbles upon the scene, the trio is forced into a deadly cover-up, painting the convenience store floor with yet more blood. Meanwhile, in Houston, a former associate of Nick's has carved a new life for himself. Leaving behind the underbelly of L.A.'s drug scene, he has embraced a peaceful existence as a married architect. However, his past refuses to be buried. His tranquil life shatters when a ghost from his past appears bearing heroin. Driven by his pursuit of a clean life, he flushes the drugs, unknowingly triggering a sequence of harrowing events. The tranquil Houston home becomes a nerve-racking battlefield as a variety of menacing characters descend upon it. A dreadlocked hit-man with a chilling aura, the haunting figure of Dallas who subjects him to a horrifying ordeal, the sadistic Billy with an insatiable thirst for torture, and a renegade cop, all in relentless pursuit of the vanished dope. 'Thursday' (1998) is a gripping tale of past sins resurfacing, shattering the illusion of a serene life, and forcing a man to confront a life he thought he had left far behind.
