The story of Muhammad Ali is the story of a man who overcame unimaginable prejudice and hardship to become the most celebrated prizefighter in the world. And he managed to do so without sacrificing his sense of personal responsibility or his commitment to righteousness and social justice. Centering his story are the periods from the 1960's into the 1970's — when Ali became a lightning rod for his outspoken and then-radical stance on politics and civil rights. But his unwillingness to step down and always do what's right would eventually be recognized by the public and reflected in his universal recognition as a legend.
