Plot

This series is a comedy/drama that takes place during the Korean War and is based on a feature film of the same name that was in turn based on the book by Richard Hooker, MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors. It involves doctors, nurses, administrators and soldiers from the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) who are isolated and must fend for themselves. They create humorous situations and play practical jokes to keep themselves amused. Some episodes take up serious topics as the war rages around them, and the civilian doctors must treat the wounded and dying of the war.
