Rocky IV (1985)

Ivan Drago is a Soviet Boxer who is built up as a superior fighter - particularly when compared to Americans. Spurred on by Drago's taunts, Rocky's former rival-turned-coach, Apollo Creed, challenges Drago to an exhibition. Drago defeats Creed so badly that he actually kills the man, and Rocky blames himself. Motivated by patriotism and a desire to avenge his friend, Rocky challenges Drago to a fight that is so much more than personal. Occurring at the height of the cold war, the entire boxing match serves as an allegory for communism vs. democracy.
