Plot

As the 1930s unfold, German expatriates Martin Schulz and Max Eisenstein are bound by more than just their shared roots and successful art gallery in San Francisco. Their families are intertwined, their children, Heinrich Schulz and Griselle Eisenstein, caught in the spell of young love, with the promise of a shared future. However, when Martin and his family decide to return temporarily to Munich to seek more art treasures, their lives take an unexpected turn. In Munich, Martin Schulz, once an unassuming art dealer, becomes ensnared by the persuasive rhetoric of the Nazi Party, lured by the illusion of power and prestige. Unprepared for the transformation, Max and Heinrich, left behind in San Francisco, grapple to comprehend the man Martin has become. Meanwhile, Griselle, choosing to chase her dreams of stage acting in Austria under a neutral pseudonym, finds herself in peril due to her Jewish heritage. As Martin gets entwined with the Nazi ranks, the risk to his old Jewish friend and his son's beloved becomes palpable. In this convoluted world of misplaced loyalties and dangerous ideologies, one man dares to stand against the tide of Nazism, even if it means confronting his own. As Martin, now a puppet of the Nazi regime, fails to protect Griselle, the consequences of his actions come full circle, eventually leading him into the clutches of the very monster he helped create. "Address Unknown" is a haunting tale of friendship, love, and betrayal set against the backdrop of a world on the brink of war. It questions the cost of power, the price of silence, and the enduring strength of human bonds tested in the crucible of time and conflict.
