It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

George Bailey has lived in Bedford Falls all his life even though he once dreamed of doing other things. On Christmas Eve, he is on the brink of suicide because of money that has gone missing at his bank job thanks to an unscrupulous banker. An angel, Clarence, has been assigned to stop him, but first he must review all of the major incidents from George's life so that he understands him. Once Clarence has learned as much as possible, he must convince George that far from being a waste, his life and actions have enriched many people.
