In the heart of Kazamatsuri, a city celebrated for its lush greenery and rich tapestry of Japanese customs, resides high schooler Kotarou Tennouji. A curious character unfettered by the city's conventional ethos, Kotarou's days are filled with playful mischief, as he busies himself by teasing the self-styled rebel, Haruhiko, and cherishing his romantic sentiments for the eccentric Kotori. Armed with an extraordinary ability to rewrite any part of his body, amplifying his strength or agility, Kotarou finds himself irresistibly drawn to the otherworldly. A fateful encounter with the solitary president of the Occult Research Club, known as the "Witch" Akane Senri, triggers Kotarou to breathe new life into the club. He brings together a diverse quartet: Kotori, the clumsy newcomer Chihaya, Lucia, the stern class representative, and the unpretentious Shizuru.
