DearS (2004)

In a world where the extraordinary and mundane collide, a UFO crash-lands off the shores of Kasai, spilling out 150 alien beings. Stranded and unable to repair their ship, these aliens are christened "DearS" by the Japanese Government and adopted into its society. The government shapes them into Japanese citizens, immersing them in the language, customs, and culture of their new home. In a bid to foster integration, a unique home-stay program is introduced, allowing the DearS to blend with humans, their interactions painting a vivid tableau of coexistence. Unforeseen circumstances lead to a high school student, Takeya Ikuhara, crossing paths with a capsule-bound alien, setting free the beautiful and mysterious creature inside.
