Plot

In a world where the extraordinary and mundane collide, a UFO crash-lands off the shores of Kasai, spilling out 150 alien beings. Stranded and unable to repair their ship, these aliens are christened "DearS" by the Japanese Government and adopted into its society. The government shapes them into Japanese citizens, immersing them in the language, customs, and culture of their new home. In a bid to foster integration, a unique home-stay program is introduced, allowing the DearS to blend with humans, their interactions painting a vivid tableau of coexistence. Unforeseen circumstances lead to a high school student, Takeya Ikuhara, crossing paths with a capsule-bound alien, setting free the beautiful and mysterious creature inside. Despite his deep-rooted mistrust and reluctance towards the DearS, Takeya rescues her from an imminent threat, thus entangling their lives in an unusual bond. Named Ren by her savior, this alien girl imprints on Takeya, recognizing him as her "Master." She becomes his devoted "Slave," an unorthodox relationship that the DearS strive to keep hidden. This uncanny companionship uproots Takeya's ordinary life, ushering in days filled with the charming chaos of cohabiting with an alien. While the DearS try to maintain a peaceful friendship with humanity, Takeya's encounter with Ren begins to unravel the secret they've been desperately concealing. The tale of DearS is a vibrant fusion of the ordinary and the extraordinary, taking viewers on a captivating journey of interspecies camaraderie, hidden truths, and the unexpected twists of fate.
