Sheikh Muhammed bin Zaida bani Tihama loves fly fishing and wants to bring the sport to Yemen. He enlists an expert on fisheries, the Scotsman Dr. Alfred "Fred" Jones. Fred is incredibly skeptical of the project; after all, who would go fishing in the desert? The Prime Minister's press secretary finally convinces him to go. Fred arrives in Yemen and must navigate the culture clash if the Sheikh's crazy plan is to succeed.
