At the apex of academic excellence stands Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, a beacon of prestige and innovation. Virtually every student that graduates from its hallowed halls secures a spot in university or finds gainful employment. A realm of liberty, Koudo Ikusei celebrates individuality, inviting students to express themselves through hairstyles and personal belongings. Yet, beneath this utopian facade hides a harsh reality. The school's paradise is exclusively for its elite, while the less accomplished are relegated to the scorn of D-class, a dumping ground for those deemed 'inferior'. Among these outcasts is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, a student whose potential is cloaked by a veil of calculated indifference. A slip-up during his entrance exam lands him in this lesser class, a world away from the school's upper echelons. Kiyotaka's fate takes an intriguing turn when he crosses paths with two fellow D-class students, the enigmatic Horikita Suzune and the charismatic Kushida Kikyou. As their lives become intertwined, the stagnancy of D-class starts to ripple, hinting at a change that could shake Koudo Ikusei to its very core. Thus begins a gripping journey of ambition, resilience, and redemption within the walls of a school that's more battlefield than paradise.
