Clannad (2007)

Third-year high school student Tomoya Okazaki is having a rough time after his mother was killed in a car accident and his father has deteriorated to a life of drinking and gambling. Tomoya’s relationship with his father becomes strained to the point of physical violence between them. A resentful Tomoya begins to drift into juvenile delinquency –- but then he meets the lovely young Nagisa. She is a year older but is repeating her final year of high school due to illness. Tomoya and Nagisa become friends, and the fresh relationship opens new life possibilities for both of them.
