Plot

In the bustling corridors of junior high, Moritaka Mashiro finds himself at the crossroads of a typical life and an extraordinary dream. His otherwise mundane existence takes an unexpected turn when his classmate, Akito Takagi, recognizes his innate artistic prowess and proposes a daring endeavor - to become a successful mangaka. The ghost of his uncle's fate, a once-celebrated mangaka who fell into oblivion and perished in a desperate attempt to reclaim his glory, haunts Mashiro, making him hesitant. However, with Akito's persuasive encouragement and a peculiar pact with Azuki Miho, their classmate and Mashiro's secret crush who is chasing her own dreams in the world of voice acting, the scales tip towards the path less trodden. Miho agrees to lend her voice to their future anime adaptation, while Mashiro impetuously proposes marriage, a proposal she accepts but reserves for the day they both taste success. Thus begins Mashiro's journey, marked with trials and tribulations, towards achieving his dream of becoming a renowned mangaka, with love and ambition intertwining to form a compelling narrative. The world of Bakuman is a captivating tale of aspiration, determination, and the tantalizing prospect of a dream within a dream.
