In the hallowed halls of Harvard University, Monty, an ambitious student, is convinced his groundbreaking thesis will secure him graduation with honors. His dreams suddenly teeter on the brink of disaster when his only computer crashes, leaving him with a single, precious paper copy of his work. In a desperate bid to safeguard his academic future, Monty races against time to photocopy his thesis, but a careless stumble sends his hard work spiraling down a grate. As he ventures into the gloomy depths of the building's basement, Monty stumbles upon an unexpected guardian of his thesis - Simon, a squatter who has made the underground his home. This encounter pulls Monty into a bizarre bargain with his life's work held hostage.
