The life of American Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is examined through the lens of the women's rights movement and highlights how much Ginsberg undermined expected gender norms within the judicial system. She was one of only six female students in Harvard's 1956 law program, but she has more issues than just being severely outnumbered by men. Her own husband is dealing with major health issues, and she makes a major ethical and personal decision — to do both his law school work and her own while he's in recovery. It's a diligent and idiosyncratic approach that drives Ginsberg's rise through the ranks.
