In the exotic backdrop of Port Prince, a young couple, Madeleine Short Parker and her beloved fiancé Neil Parker, are on a journey to New York. Their voyage takes an unforeseen detour when they meet Charles Beaumont, a charismatic stranger who persuades them to tie the knot at his grand Haitian mansion.
