City of the Living Dead (1980)

In the heart of New York, a chilling sight seizes the consciousness of the gifted medium, Mary Woodhouse. Across the veil, she spies the grim spectacle of Father William Thomas sealing his fate in the desolate cemetery of Dunwich, his suicide acting as the unholy key, unlocking the infernal gates of Hell. His sacrilegious act sets free the restless dead, a sight so terrifying that Mary perishes mid-seance. Peter Bell, a reporter with insatiable curiosity and a knack for the uncanny, begins to uncover the mystery shrouding Mary's sudden death. Drawn to the haunted whispers of the cemetery, he is startled by Mary's resurrection from the coffin, her screams echoing in the stillness of the night.
