Survival of the Dead (2010)

In the eerie twilight of Plum Island, off the coast of Delaware, a long-brewing feud between two formidable patriarchs reaches a boiling point. Captain Patrick O'Flynn (Kenneth Welsh) is hellbent on eradicating the zombie menace, while Seamus Muldoon (Richard Fitzpatrick) clings to the hope that his undead kin can be cured. This bitter conflict leads to O'Flynn's harsh exile from the island. On the mainland, a motley crew of survivors - sardonic Sarge "Nicotine" Crocket (Alan Van Sprang), brusque Chuck (Joris Jarsky), sly Cisco (Stefano DiMatteo), and the fierce Tomboy (Athena Karkanis) - navigate the chaos, pillaging as they search for sanctuary. Their ranks swell when they rescue the young Boy (Devon Bostick) from a pack of ruthless hunters. Intrigued by Boy's tale of O'Flynn's broadcast inviting survivors to Plum Island, they decide to take their chances. Upon their arrival, the island reveals itself to be an undead-filled nightmare. They are ambushed by Muldoon's men, and in the ensuing chaos, lose one of their own - Chuck. The small band of survivors find themselves embroiled in a war against Muldoon and his undead horde. As they battle for their lives, they must contend with the chilling reality that salvation might be as elusive as the cure Muldoon desperately seeks.
