Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet (1965)

In a not-too-distant future of 2020, following the successful colonization of the moon, a daring expedition is set in motion, targeting the sultry veils of Venus. Under the stern command of Professor Hartman, the spaceships Vega, Sirius, and Capella ascend from Lunar Station 7, their mission to explore the uncharted mysteries of Venus. However, the expedition is hit with a catastrophic blow when an asteroid careens into Capella, reducing it to cosmic dust. Unfazed, Vega, the leader ship, maintains its orbit around Venus. It dispatches two intrepid astronauts, Kern and Sherman, and their robotic companion, John, to the planet's surface. Their communication with Dr. Marsha Evans on Vega becomes a precarious game of cosmic whispers, their connection threatened by the planet's unyielding conditions. Simultaneously, Sirius lands on the alien terrain, delivering Commander Brendan Lockhart, Andre Ferneau, and Hans Walter into the heart of the unknown. The Venusian wilderness greets them with a terrifying spectacle of prehistoric beasts. With their survival hanging by a thread, they venture into the planet's depths using a rugged vehicle, their mission now twofold: find Kern and Sherman and gather invaluable samples. As the Sirius team battles against time and beast, John, the robot, becomes an unlikely guardian, aiding Kern and Sherman in their struggle against Venus's hostile environment. The explorers stumble upon relics of a vanished civilization, bearing an uncanny resemblance to human life. As they delve deeper, they are haunted by a strange, celestial melody, a chilling whisper of a possible hidden truth about the anthropomorphic Venusians. Amidst the chaos and the unknown, the question lingers: are they truly alone on Venus? The answer may lie beneath the veil of the prehistoric planet.
