Plot

In a thrilling twist of fate, the audacious quintet - Slip, Sach, Whitey, Butch, and Chuck, find themselves in a Kafkaesque predicament when they inadvertently become witnesses to a warehouse heist. Their attempt to thwart the crime backfires, landing them in the cold confines of a jail cell, accused of the very crime they tried to prevent. With the help of their lawyer ally, Gabe Moreno, they manage to secure a temporary reprieve. Though released on bail, the gang finds themselves on the precipice of a trial, charged with suspicion - a charge the prosecutors are confident of proving. Amidst this legal turmoil, a static-filled revelation from Whitey, an enthusiast of short-wave radio, casts a new light. He intercepts cryptic messages, hinting that the actual architects of the warehouse robbery and similar misdemeanors are orchestrating their operations from within the penitentiary walls, relayed to their henchmen outside via coded radio transmissions. In a daring gamble, Slip and Sach opt for a guilty plea, setting themselves on a path to the penitentiary, their objective - to unmask the true culprits. Meanwhile, the others are granted probation. As they step into the sinister world of the prison, they learn of a last-minute reprieve granted to notorious gangsters, Pretty Boy Gleason and Benny the Blood. Seizing the opportunity, they impersonate the feared criminals, weaving their way into the convicts' inner circle, led by the enigmatic Bat Armstrong. Whitey's clandestine radio eavesdropping uncovers a looming prison break. However, before Slip and Sach can act on this intel, the real Pretty Boy and Benny arrive, blowing their cover. Now exposed as impostors, the duo must navigate the treacherous prison waters to unravel the criminal network, while evading the wrath of Bat and his cronies. In the chilling catacombs of the Big House, the suspenseful game of cat and mouse unfolds, their freedom and lives hanging in the balance.
