In the heartland of Montana, 12-year-old Mikey Jones, his 16-year-old sister Clair, and their father Emmet eke out a life on their family ranch. Their world is shaken up when Timber, a sprightly Alaskan Husky left to Mikey by his grandfather, bounds onto their doorstep. Timber's arrival is serendipitous as the family is in dire straits. The local antagonist, Casper Stonewall, is on a ruthless mission to acquire all the ranches in financial distress, including Emmet's. The family's only hope lies in an old local legend about a hidden treasure, dismissed by all except Mikey and his tomboy best friend, Billie. Fuelled by the clues Timber holds, this unlikely band of adventurers sets off on a whirlwind journey to unearth the fabled treasure of Cloud Peak. Alongside them are the family bulldog, Barbeque, and Billie's faithful Golden Lab, Kaia. But their quest is not without peril. Stonewall, who is aware of the treasure tale and has his own nefarious plans, unleashes his incompetent henchmen, Marcus and Phil, in hot pursuit. The race against time to save their home becomes a thrilling adventure, punctuated by riddles, unexpected dangers, and hidden wonders. Aiding or thwarting their journey are a myriad of encounters - from wolf attacks to mysterious underground caves, concealed waterfalls, and even a witch named Alice! By the time the adults - Emmet, Clair, and Billie's mother Jamie - decipher what's happening, they are in a desperate rush to protect the young treasure hunters and their canine companions from Stonewall's clutches.
