The Simpsons are a largely ordinary family, but they get into big adventures. Patriarch Homer is slow-witted and sometimes selfish but means well, while homemaker Marge tends to worry. Delinquent son Bart, curious infant Maggie, and brilliant activist Lisa all cause trouble in their own unique ways. But while the Simpsons are the nucleus of these sitcom adventures, the city of Springfield plays just as important a role. A colorful group of characters call the Simpsons their neighbors, and they're just as likely to be the center of any given story as the titular Simpson family is.
