Just as Captain Alan Parker of the L.A.P.D. is about to embark on a long-awaited family holiday, he finds his plans foiled by the elusive Tony Roma, a charming yet nefarious playboy. Roma, a poor imitation of a Latin lover, has made a lucrative career from seducing wealthy, older women and pilfering their jewelry. The relentless pursuit of Roma by the doggedly determined Parker is on the brink of conclusion, until fate intervenes in the most unexpected way.
