Along Came a Spider (2001)

A Senator's daughter is kidnapped, even though she was being protected by a Secret Service Agent. The kidnapper reaches out to police and police psychologist, Alex Cross. Dr. Cross agrees to help with the investigation. He is aided by police and the agent that was protecting the girl, but he soon realizes there is a lot more going on besides a kidnapping.
