Basic Instinct (1992)

Detective Nick Curran is investigating the brutal murder of a retired rock star and must interview a woman who was involved with him, the novelist Catherine Tramell. Rich and successful, Tramell is also manipulative, and Curran suspects her of involvement in the murder although he cannot find any proof. Yet the plot thickens after another murder occurs, and Curran finds himself becoming inextricably entangled with Tramell and the many secrets of her life.
