Art History graduates and best friends Avery, Emma, and Tracy navigate their respective careers in Boston, Chicago, and New York City. They unite each year for a cherished girls' weekend of antiquing, this time set in the vibrant hub of San Francisco. During their adventure, they stumble upon a captivating relic from the late-nineteenth century: an Italian bridal veil. The veil's ethereal beauty is rivaled only by the intriguing legend that accompanies it - suggesting that its owner will find true love. Despite none of them being remotely close to matrimony, they are swept up in its magic and decide to collectively own the veil. Avery, a romantic at heart and the first to possess the veil, is on the brink of a promotion at her art museum in Boston. However, she must outshine her fiercely competitive colleague Jason, and successfully plan the museum's annual gala. Her partner for this task is the charismatic new Board member, Peter Hastings, who is expanding his late father's scientific foundation into the arts. Avery is taken aback when she realizes Peter is the handsome stranger she met in San Francisco. She believed they shared a connection, perhaps sparked by the veil's magic, only for him to inexplicably turn cold. As they work together, Peter's fluctuating emotions leave Avery puzzled. They decide to make the gala a grand unveiling of a recently discovered nineteenth-century Italian painting, the successful refurbishment of which could make or break the museum's reputation and Avery's promotion. The veil's magic weaves its way through their lives, influencing not just Avery's quest for love and professional success, but also Peter's journey to carve his own identity beyond his father's legacy. As the gala approaches and the veil's power unfurls, the friends are left to wonder: Will the legend of love hold true?
