How I Live Now (2013)

In the idyllic yet unfamiliar English countryside, American teenager Daisy (Saoirse Ronan) is thrust into a world far removed from the bustling streets of New York City. Sent by her estranged father to stay with her Aunt Penn (Anna Chancellor), she is greeted by her distant cousin Isaac (Tom Holland) who warmly introduces her to her new home. Here, she meets her cousins, the mature and intriguing Eddie (George MacKay) and the innocently youthful Piper (Harley Bird), along with their loyal friend Joe (Danny McEvoy). Daisy, perpetually wrapped in resentment and the desperate need for love, carries the heavy burden of her past. She feels cursed, attributing her mother's death during childbirth to her very existence.
