Plot

In the twilight of the 1950s, Moe Howard, the indomitable leader of the legendary comedy trio, The Three Stooges, finds himself at a crossroads. His illustrious film career, once a dazzling beacon of slapstick humor, appears to have drawn its last laugh. The impending broadcast of his films on the burgeoning platform of television promises significant profits, yet not a penny is destined for his pocket. As if these trials weren't enough, a persistent young television executive relentlessly proposes a live show in his city, leaving Moe swaying on the tightrope of decision. As the pressures of the present mount, Moe's mind retreats to the past, embarking on a poignant journey through the memories etched into the fabric of his career. The narrative unfolds from the team's humble beginnings in the vaudeville era under comic Ted Healy, through the tumultuous departure of his brother Shemp, and onto the entrance of their new stooge - the unforgettable Jerome "Curly" Howard. The highs and lows of their career play out in vibrant technicolor, from their groundbreaking triumph as the crown jewel of Columbia Studio's comedy department, to the grim departures that shook their unity. Beneath the uproarious laughter that their performances induced, an undercurrent of tragedy pulses, highlighted by the devastating stroke and subsequent death of Curly, and the later loss of Shemp. Amidst the echoes of past laughter and the shadows of personal loss, Moe stands at the precipice of a new era. He wrestles with the gamble of rekindling the Stooges' act for a potential new generation of fans. The balance teeters between the poignant past and an uncertain future, leaving Moe, and the audience, in suspenseful anticipation of the final curtain call on the Three Stooges' storied career.
