Plot

Alison Parker, a successful model, and survivor of two suicide attempts, yearns for a sanctuary away from her lawyer friend, Michael, and the suffocating memories of her Catholic upbringing. An opportunity presents itself when real estate agent Miss Logan introduces her to a near-abandoned building in Brooklyn Heights, offering her an apartment for a pittance. The only other known resident is a blind priest, Father Halloran, who resides alone on the top floor, his life sustained by the Church. Alison moves in, welcoming the solitude, but soon finds herself drawn into the strange world of the building's other residents, led by Charles Chazen, her eccentric neighbor. After attending a bizarre birthday party for Chazen's pet cat, Jezebel, Alison's life begins to unravel. Her health deteriorates rapidly, sleep becomes elusive and terrifying flashbacks of her suicide attempts torment her. Complaints about the unsettling noises emanating from her peculiar neighbors fall on deaf ears when Miss Logan insists that the building is solely inhabited by her and the blind priest. As Alison grapples with the chilling reality of her situation, she gradually uncovers a disturbing truth – the building, her newfound home, is a conduit to the infernal depths of hell, and she has been placed there for an ominous purpose. In the unsettling world of "The Sentinel," Alison must confront her past and fight for her future as she spirals deeper into a web of the supernatural, where the line between reality and nightmare blurs, and where her very soul hangs in the balance.
