In the labyrinthine hallways of Chicago's Natural History Museum, a researcher eagerly awaits two crates dispatched from the verdant depths of South America, holding the fruits of his arduous labor. However, when the crates arrive, they seemingly hold nothing more than dust and disappointment. The mystery thickens when an ocean liner, the alleged courier of these crates, docks with a horrifying secret - a series of gruesome murders has painted its decks red. As the terror seeps into the hallowed halls of the museum, claiming a life within, the astute Lt. Vincent D'Agosta steps onto the scene. Teaming up with the inquisitive Dr. Margo Green, a fellow researcher intrigued by the enigma of her colleague's crates, D'Agosta embarks on a chilling investigation. Both remain oblivious to a monstrous presence lurking in the shadows of the museum, silently biding its time. As the museum gears up for a grand benefit reception graced by the city's mayor, this unseen terror readies itself for a deadly reveal. The museum's marble corridors and antiquated exhibits become an eerie playground for this vicious creature, as D'Agosta and Dr. Green find themselves in a race against time to unravel the mystery and halt the impending bloodbath.
