The Road (2009)

The Road takes place in a dark post-apocalyptic world where everything is gray as a result of plants, animals, and humans constantly dying off in huge numbers. A cataclysmic event started the apocalypse, and even now frequent earthquakes are occurring and causing additional destruction. A father and his son walk through what used to be America, aiming to find food, fuel, and other life as they move closer to the sea, their final destination.

The Road is an adventure movie featuring Viggo Mortensen and directed by John Hillcoat.
