Plot

In the year 1983, an inexplicable wave of comas engulfs every child nine years old and below, freezing their young lives in a dreamless sleep. This mysterious slumber persists for a decade, ensnaring all children born during this eerie period. Amidst this peculiar crisis, Tom Russel, a man haunted by a violent past, is released from prison. He returns to his hometown where his brother's son, like countless others, is trapped in this unnatural coma. On the very night of Tom's return, a chilling transformation sweeps over the town. The children awaken, but they are far from the innocent souls they once were. Driven by a deadly intent, they thirst for the demise of every adult, their once cherubic faces twisted with malevolence. A terrifying revelation emerges - the children share a collective consciousness, a hive mind that grows more formidable with each passing moment. As one learns, they all learn, rapidly adapting to disable vehicles and even operate firearms. A brutal battle between the generations ensues, leaving the adults scrambling for survival against their own offspring. Time is a ruthless enemy, each tick of the clock amplifying the children's deadly prowess. Amid this chaos, Tom, alongside Jean, rallies a group of survivors. Their only hope is a safe base located 60 kilometers away, a beacon of hope in their nightmarish reality. As they embark on a desperate race against time, the question remains - can they outwit the insidious intelligence of the children and live to see another day?
