The Outcast (1954)

After an eight-year hiatus, Jet Cosgrave (John Derek), embarks on a journey back to his roots in the rustic town of Colton, Colorado. His return is fueled by a burning desire to reclaim his legitimate inheritance, the sprawling Circle C Ranch, deceitfully seized by his power-hungry uncle, Major Cosgrave (Jim Davis). In an attempt to right the wrongs, Jet recruits nine formidable gunmen, led by the fearless "Dude" Rankin (Bob Steele), to challenge his uncle's dubious claim, founded on the back of a counterfeit will drawn post his father's demise. This bold assertion stirs a hornet's nest, inviting swift retaliation. Amidst the storm, Jet finds an unexpected ally and love interest in Judy Polsen (Joan Evans), a tenacious woman hailing from a humble ranching family. After rescuing Jet from an ambush led by two of Circle C's ruthless gunmen, The Kid (Ben Cooper) and Bert (Harry Carey Jr.), Judy finds herself drawn to Jet's audacious spirit. Championing his cause, she advocates for him to her father, Chad Polsen (Frank Ferguson), and her staunch brothers Boone (Slim Pickens), Asa (Nicolas Coster) and Zeke (Robert 'Buzz' Henry), setting the stage for a gripping clash of wills in the heart of Colton.
