The Miracle of Life (2013)

In an unfathomable reality, Marianne brings an unusually extraordinary child into the world. Even though the infant is born lifeless, existence miraculously breathes through the afterbirth. Embracing the unconventional, Marianne nurtures her placenta as one would a human child, christening him Luke. Beneath his grotesque exterior, there lies a character of intellect, spirituality, and tenderness. Luke yearns for acceptance in a realm dominated by the intoxicated, the addicted, the debauched, and the muscular – a chaotic society that views him as an aberration. As this antagonistic environment steadily nudges him towards the precipice, Luke is faced with a critical decision. He must choose between preserving his delicate principles or morphing into the ruthless warrior his mother envisaged him becoming. His journey of self-discovery and acceptance forms the crux of this unconventional tale, showing us the true 'Miracle of Life'.
