Plot

In the chilling film, Man Bites Dog (1992), the lines between bystander and participant blur as a film crew steps out from behind the camera to document the life of a serial killer named Ben. This dark journey pulls the viewer into a world where art, music, nature, society, and life intersect with a chilling dance of death. As the camera rolls without mercy, capturing Ben's routine of offing unsuspecting mailmen, retirees, and passersby, the audience is given a disturbingly intimate glimpse into the mind of a murderer. However, the narrative takes a sinister turn when the film crew, previously mere observers, become increasingly entangled in Ben's deadly activities. As they question the morality of their involvement, they find themselves too deep in the labyrinth of Ben's world to simply walk away. When a fatal feud with a rival killer puts them in the crosshairs, the crew is left grappling with the horrifying reality of their actions. Man Bites Dog is a stirring exploration of voyeurism and complicity, a raw depiction of the human fascination with the macabre, leaving the viewer to ponder: where does observation end and participation begin?
