In a future world, the powers of western Europe and America are at war, and they're in a tight arms race to determine who will win. Britain's greatest hope is an artificial intelligence capable of waging war. When placed in the bodies of robots, they could look and act like humans but possess physical capabilities that go well beyond the normal soldier. But the rush to create the perfect weapon means making rash and ethically troubling decisions. As the innocent artificial intelligence is exposed to the harsh realities of war training, it begins to change in ways that could jeopardize its creators.
