The Love Patient (2011)

Paul, a once thriving individual, now finds himself in a creative and emotional drought, his life and work losing their sparkle. His heart yearns for Brad, his former lover and current co-worker, who appears distant. In a desperate attempt to reignite their connection, Paul concocts a plan of feigning cancer, hoping to reignite the sympathy and attention he craves. However, the plot thickens when his fabricated diagnosis turns ominously real, revealing a spot on his lungs that has allegedly metastasized. Suddenly, he's confined to his bed, a prisoner of his own lie, subjected to a grueling regimen of medications. The question lingers - is this a genuine diagnosis, a brilliantly executed hoax, or an intervention masterminded by his concerned circle? As news of his condition spreads, his family and friends rally around him. Amid the ensuing chaos, hilarity blossoms, interspersed with sporadic familial squabbles.
