The Long Way Home (2015)

As the clock ticks down to the 24th of July, 1953, a cease-fire between North and South Korea looms on the horizon. Amidst the tumult of the impending truce, we meet Nam-bok, an ordinary soldier yearning for the tranquility of his farmland home. His dreams, however, are sidetracked by a crucial mission - to transport a classified document to the Western front. Cruelly, fate intervenes when he's ambushed by North Korean forces, leading to the loss of the precious document. In a twisted turn of events, the classified paper lands in the hands of Young-gwang, the lone survivor of a North Korean unit. He stumbles upon the secret paper, unaware of its importance or the desperate man hunting for it. When Nam-bok spots Young-gwang in possession of his lost paper, he transforms. No longer a homesick soldier, he becomes a relentless predator, driven by an unyielding determination to retrieve what he's lost. 'The Long Way Home' is a tale of two soldiers, on opposing sides of the war, bound together by a piece of paper that could change the course of history. Their fight is fierce and desperate, a battle not just for a document, but for survival and honor in the final days of a dividing war.
