The Lazarus Effect (2015)

This is a story of bringing back people from the dead. It is a science fiction thriller that goes horribly wrong in the end. A group of researchers has discovered a way to bring dead animals back to life, but have never tried it on a human. Their project has been secret, but when the university where they work hears about it they shut it down and confiscate all their materials. Not wanting to give up, the researchers continue as well as they can in private until one of them is killed. Naturally, they think of bringing her back to life, which is successful but has dire, unexpected consequences.
