Plot

Three civil rights workers go missing in Mississippi and foul play is suspected. FBI agents Alan Ward and Rupert Anderson are assigned to the case. As they start their investigation, the Ku Klux Klan begins violently harassing the local African American population. Anderson and Ward have to navigate class, political, and racial tensions in order to solve the crime.
