The Key (1958)

During World War 2, Captain David Ross is commissioned by the Royal Navy to take command of W88, a poorly armed tugboat, and rescue damaged Allied ships. When reunited with an old friend, Captain Chris Ford, our protagonist is introduced to the young Swiss-Italian war-widow, Stella. Chris proposes to Stella, who accepts, but when he does not return from a mission, she allows David to move in with her.

The Key is a drama movie featuring William Holden.
