Plot

In the world of conceptual performance art, the eccentrically macabre couple known for their peculiar public performances reigns supreme. Their adult children, Annie and Baxter, have forever been scarred by their unconventional upbringing, their childhoods marred by their parents' bizarre and often unsettling satirical displays. As adults, they find themselves continually at odds with their aging parents, blaming their peculiar upbringing for the complexities in their own lives. An unexpected turn of events sees their parents mysteriously vanish during a trip outside of town. The police bring the unsettling news, sparking conflicting reactions from the siblings. Whilst Baxter grapples with the terrifying thought that a terrible fate may have befallen their parents, Annie remains suspicious, convinced that this is nothing more than another one of their parents' twisted performance art pieces. Unable to shake off their concerns, she persuades her brother to embark on a search for their parents, a journey that weaves through the intricate maze of their parents' enigmatic world.
